The Carnival and Heartstrings Walk, is held on 23 and 24 August 2008 at the Esplanade Park.
The Carnival will include the Sharity programme for children aged 4-12 years old on Saturday, 23 August 2008 from 9.30 am to 1 pm.
Sharity is a public education programme by NCSS.
Launched in 1984, the name “Sharity” was conceptualised from the words “share” and “charity”.
Its mascot, Sharity Elephant, symbolises the qualities of caring and sharing.
Activities during the carnival include a Colouring Competition for children aged 4 to 7 years old and Drawing Competition for children aged 8 to 12 years old.
Chidlren need to register at 9.30 am on 23 August 2008 for the competitions and the judges’ results will be announced on the same day. There will also be a prize presentation ceremony.
